Who: Brian Foster ("Brian"), teaching drum lessons outdoors in central Austin parks, in students' homes, or online. The student, or a parent or guardian if the student is under 18.

What you are agreeing to

  1. Drumming is physical. I understand there is a small risk of strain, hearing fatigue from loud sounds, or minor injury, and I take part at my own risk. I will tell Brian about any condition that matters (hearing, wrists, back, heart).
  2. Hearing protection is available at every lesson and I will use it if asked.
  3. Lessons outdoors depend on weather; rain or extreme heat means a free reschedule.
  4. I will give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Prepaid lessons not confirmed by Brian within 24 hours are refunded in full.
  5. For a student under 18, a parent or guardian stays present for the whole lesson.
  6. Brian may take short clips or photos during lessons for teaching notes. Nothing is posted publicly without my separate written yes.
  7. I release Brian Foster from claims for ordinary injuries or losses arising from the lesson, except those caused by his gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
  8. In-home lessons: I confirm there is a safe space for a full drum kit and that the address I give is where the lesson happens.

Anything in there you want changed?

Say so on the booking form before you come. It is a plain-language agreement, and Brian would rather talk about it beforehand than at the kit.

Book a lesson

Under 18 is welcome with a parent or guardian present for the whole lesson, and the guardian signs. The rest of the policies are on the terms page.
